Gospel Canarias is committed to a greener, more responsible future.
We believe music can inspire positive change — reducing our environmental impact, caring for our surroundings, and promoting well-being in our community.
Every concert, every rehearsal, every stage is a chance to do better.

How We Do It
We apply sustainability criteria at every stage of the festival — from production to audience experience. Our goal is to enjoy music while caring for the planet and its people.
Responsible Energy
• We prioritize renewable energy sources whenever possible. • Lighting and sound are optimized to reduce energy consumption. • We use efficient equipment and plan our setups carefully to avoid waste.
Materials and Circular Economy
• We reuse sets, signage, and decorations whenever possible. • We choose local suppliers and materials that are durable or recyclable. • We reduce single-use plastics in dressing rooms, catering, and sales areas.
Conscious Food Choices
• We prioritize local and seasonal products, supporting the Canary Islands’ economy. • We minimize food waste and use reusable or compostable utensils. • We offer vegetarian and vegan options for artists and staff.
Community, Accessibility & Inclusion
• We collaborate with local groups and organizations for cultural activities. • We ensure universal accessibility so that everyone can enjoy the concerts. • We promote safe, respectful, and diverse spaces, with equal opportunities for all.
Safety & Well-being
• We implement safety and health protocols in every production. • We foster safe, harassment-free environments for audiences and performers. • Our team and volunteers receive training in environmental and social best practices.

Our Goals
For the coming editions, we aim to:
• Reduce energy and non-reusable materials by 20%. • Ensure 100% of waste is sorted for recycling. • Increase the number of local and sustainable suppliers. • Publish an annual sustainability report with progress and improvements.
4
Compliance & Legal Framework
Our sustainability actions follow the principles of the European Green Deal, the ISO 20121 Sustainable Events Management Standard, and Spanish environmental legislation: • Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils. • Royal Decree 1055/2022 on packaging and packaging waste. • EU Directive 2019/904 on single-use plastics.
5
How You Can Help
• Use the recycling points during concerts. • Bring your reusable bottle and avoid single-use plastics. • Respect shared spaces and help us leave a positive footprint.
Because sustainability also sounds like gospel.
